PTi was founded in 2005 by Ed Kaya, a registered California Civil and Structural engineer and B.G. Kaya,
a respected Geotechnical lab technician with over 20 years experience. B.G. is well known throughout
Southern California having worked with Ninyo & Moore, Parsons, Southern California Testing, Petra and
LGC Inland. Additionally, he was Managing Technician for MWD's Eastside Reservoir Project, a nearly
200 million yard earthen dam reservoir. B.G. has instructed more than 100 technicians.

The PTi staff combines decades of Laboratory experience and has received certification from numerous
organizations including ACI, NICET and Caltrans. We exclusively utilize modern, high quality test equipment
including the latest spectrometers, photometers, and digital instruments. Our in-house QA and Calibration
programs exceed all applicable test standards. From receiving the sample through publishing the report, we
employ review protocols which insure continuity. We are members of both ASTM and NACE.
